What is FirstLook360?
FirstLook360 is a portable 360-degree search and rescue camera designed for fire departments, emergency medical services, disaster response teams, USAR teams, police, the military, and technical rescue units. It was developed to help locate buried, trapped, or hard-to-reach individuals more quickly and to enable emergency responders to safely assess the situation from a distance.
The rescue camera is primarily used in rubble, cavities, confined spaces, vehicles, shafts, boreholes, tunnels, and hazardous operational areas. It transmits a live panoramic image to a tablet, allowing rescue personnel to visually assess the area without having to immediately enter the danger zone themselves.
FirstLook360 is therefore not just an ordinary inspection camera, but a professional search, location, and communication system for demanding rescue operations. The combination of 360-degree imaging, real-time video, rugged construction, and two-way audio makes it a versatile tool for technical rescue.

What is a rescue camera used for?
A rescue camera is used to locate, assess, and communicate with people in inaccessible, dangerous, or hard-to-see areas. Especially after building collapses, earthquakes, explosions, accidents, or technical rescue situations, it is often difficult to quickly determine whether people are trapped in cavities or under debris.
With FirstLook360, emergency responders can look into such areas without unnecessarily moving structures or exposing personnel to additional risk. The camera helps locate victims faster, better assess their situation, and plan the subsequent rescue more effectively.
Typical tasks for a rescue camera include:
How does FirstLook360 work?
FirstLook360 uses a 360-degree camera system that captures a complete, panoramic view of the surroundings. This image is transmitted in real time to a tablet. First responders can digitally control the camera’s view without having to physically rotate or move the camera.
This advantage is particularly important in confined or unstable areas. When a traditional camera must be physically moved, orientation can be lost quickly. With FirstLook360, the camera remains stable while the user selects the view on the display. This provides a better spatial overview, allowing the search to be conducted more quickly and precisely.
Additionally, the system features two-way audio. Emergency responders can speak with trapped individuals, receive feedback, and better assess the situation. This is particularly important when victims are conscious but cannot be reached directly. Typical operation procedure:
What models and kits are available?
The FirstLook360 FL360 is the core camera system. It provides 360-degree real-time images and was developed for rapid visual search in complex environments. The camera is rugged, portable, and designed for harsh operating conditions.
It is suitable for fire departments, technical rescue teams, disaster response, search and rescue teams, and organizations that need to locate people in rubble, shafts, vehicles, or confined spaces.
Benefits of FirstLook360
Typical Applications
Who is FirstLook360 designed for?
FirstLook360 is designed for professional emergency response organizations that need to search for and rescue people in difficult, dangerous, or inaccessible areas. These include:
FirstLook360 is particularly well-suited for organizations that prioritize rapid situational assessment, safe search operations, improved orientation, and direct communication with trapped individuals.
Differences from Traditional Inspection Cameras
FirstLook360 differs from traditional inspection cameras in its 360-degree panoramic view and digital image control. With many conventional cameras, the camera head must be mechanically swiveled, rotated, or repositioned. This takes time and can be difficult in tight or unstable spaces.
With FirstLook360, the camera remains stable while the user digitally selects the field of view. This provides better spatial orientation. Additionally, the two-way audio function expands the scope beyond mere visual inspection to include direct communication.
Key differences include:
FirstLook360 is thus a modern rescue camera for professional operations where time, safety, and clear situational information are critical.
